Services we provide
The Claire Heureuse Community Center, Inc. offer wide range of services and social activities for our local communities. Our Center provide opportunities for daily learning, skills enhancement, community engagement, socialization, services for youth, teens, adults and seniors. Below are some of the services offered.
Adult Services
The Claire Heureuse Community Center, Inc. has more than 15 years of experience providing high-quality social day care services in a safe, warm, and welcoming environment. With the support of trained and caring staff, participants engage in supervised educational and recreational activities that increase their confidence and feelings of self-worth. Our programs can also allow them to remain active members of the community for as long as possible. A hot, fully balanced lunch and nutritious snacks are served daily, and field trips and special events are planned throughout the year. Transportation, case assistance, and other support services are available as needed.
Special Events
Our center host a wide range of events to bring specific resources to the community such as job fairs, health fairs, disability, and aging resource fairs. Other special events hosted by the center include holiday celebrations, back-to-school, and toy-giveaways.
Daycare
We currently offer through the NYC DOE 3K and Pre-K for all program School Day/Year. Click "apply today" top link to apply to our Queens or Bronx site.
Family Support Services
We offer a broad range of family services reflective of our ongoing commitment to fostering strong, stable and self-sufficient families and communities.
Immigration
Claire Heureuse Community Center has been providing Legal Immigration Services since March of 2007. Consultations, Family Petitions, Citizenship Naturalization, Renewal of Employment Authorization Documents, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA),
Reunification Package for Unaccompanied Minors, Power of Attorneys, Translations, Notarization
Meals and Food Services
We currently provide cooked meals during holidays for family, and community members of the communities we serve. Queens, Brooklyn and Bronx. Our Pantry and produce will be available to individuals and families in need in the community September 2022.
Social and Recreational Engagement
Our center offer a variety of opportunities to support health and wellness for everyone in the community. Community members can volunteer and or participate in special events held at the center such as Bingo day, toy distribution, Covid-19 home test kits, volunteer at our daycare centers, summer programs, food distribution and much more.
Summer Youth Program
In addition to educational resources at the centers, we offer multiple other programs such as intergenerational activities and events to help youth interact and collaborate with seniors. We collaborate yearly with SYEP to provide youth between the ages of 14 and 24 with paid summer employment for up to six weeks in July and August. Participants work in a variety of entry-level jobs at our center.
Educational Resources
The center offers a variety of classes such as English as a Second Language (ESL), computer classes, painting, and many more.
